The Artist

Sunny Lindsay Patton

It has been a lifetime love for Sunny to draw and paint. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California and continued her education with classes at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ca and numerous ongoing workshops throughout the country. Many of Sunny’s paintings have been accepted in national and international shows including Harness Tracks of America, Grass Valley Draft Horse Classic, and Horse and Country, Canada. Her paintings hang in private collection in the US and Europe. Her acrylic painting, The Champion was chosen for the cover art for Hit’s Indio Desert Circuit horse show for 2000. She was chosen as Painter of the Year from Coachella Valley Watercolor Society in 2011.

Sunny gives demonstrations of paintings with airbrush and watercolor yearly at the Indio Date Festival and to local art groups. She enjoys painting in Watercolor, acrylic, and oil. She also likes to create designs on gourds.

Sunny is a member of the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society and teaches art at a local elementary school. She teaches at the “Young at Art” program at the C.V. Historical Museum in Indio during the summer.
Sunny has resided with her family in the desert since 1982. She and her husband have 2 grown children and live on their mini ranch in Bermuda Dunes with five horses, a cat, and a dog.
